I saw this book at my Barnes and Noble last weekend and it piqued my interest, I have always been a fan of Christian Siriano and his work on Project Runway so naturally when coming upon this book I just had to have it. Within the first chapter, I was hooked, like a excited teenager I flipped the pages as if it were the latest Twilight novel. Overall it was a great book if you are a Siriano fangirl (like me ) but if you aren’t or have never heard about him before you may find his use of the phrases “fierce” and “ferosh” a bit annoying. Also if you are looking for a serious book about fashion, I would not suggest this book, it is more of a light book about Mr. Siriano’s past and random tidbits about style.

Rating (for fangirls) 10/10 (this is pure Siriano)

I guess but at least cover both frontal and back…it shouldn’t be hanging out.

So.. Ladies (and guys) take note… Wearing a Hanes T-shirt with leggings is a FASHION DO’N'T and should be a federal crime.

Louis Vuitton Speedy #35

The Speedy #35 is as iconic as Audrey Hepburn. Not one to go out of style, the Speedy has been around for years and looks great everywhere from the office to  traveling to Bora Bora to controlling the kids, Hey, maybe even to a black tie affair (ok.. maybe not). The point is , the Speedy 35 can and will go with you anywhere, although it will set you back about $600-$800 bucks .. its worth it.

(Louis Vuitton, Fall/Winter 2009)

In the midst of our recession, we escape to another place and time with Marc Jacon’s Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2009 collection, Paris circa 1983.

This is probably one of my favorite collections Marc has done under Louis Vuitton. The ‘bubbly’ silhouettes and rouched fabrics along with a fun kind of elegance, makes this collection pleasure to behold. 

The Clothes

What can I say? They are perfection. I especially adore the bubbly shape of the clothes, one of my favorites is the pink dress shown below.

along with the “attempted sophistication and sex” as Marc Jacobs put it.  I also loved the pop-culture references to Madonna.

The Accessories

I really loved how the bags were folded like paper and how they looked so…French, they  truly added to the spirit of the collection.

The shoes were probably what excited me for this season, they were closed toe, bowed and FABULOUS!! See for yourself:

Additional Thoughts:

This collection was gorgeous, there were some things reminiscent of Ungaro but all in all, it was pure LV.
